Summer Evening Ride‑Outs... A Growing Tradition

The 4th Thursday of the month summer evening ride‑outs continue to prove a real hit with members. So far this year we’ve managed three out of three, each one well attended and enjoyed—though June’s nearly fell victim to the weather, not from the usual rain but from the challenge of it being too hot!

Members meet at 7pm for an hour‑long ride, finishing at a local hostelry. It’s the perfect format: a relaxed run out, a sociable pint or bite to eat, and still a quick ride home before last light.

Our destinations have been varied and welcoming:

  • The Punchbowl, Okewood Hill

  • The Frog & Nightgown, Faygate

  • The Plough, Leigh

Each outing offers members the choice of joining the ride itself or simply meeting up at the destination pub, making it flexible for everyone’s schedules. The added bonus is discovering different biker‑friendly pubs along the way—places that not only serve good food and drink but also embrace the motorcycling community.

These evenings provide more than just a ride; they add an extra club night to the calendar during the summer months, giving us another chance to catch up, share stories and enjoy the camaraderie that makes the club special.

With the season still in full swing, we look forward to seeing where the next ride‑out will take us—and which new pub will become a favourite stop along the way.
