Pioneer Run 2026

The 86th Pioneer Run rolled out on 22 March 2026, kicking off bright and early at 8am from Tattenham Corner on Epsom Downs. From there, riders followed the 43‑mile route down to the checkpoint at Leonardslee Gardens before pressing on to the finish at Brighton City Airport.

Plenty of club members turned out to support the event. Some headed to the start line to cheer on the entrants, while others grabbed breakfast at the Chalet Café and enjoyed watching the bikes rumble past.

DDMCC had a brilliant showing this year, with three of our members taking part:

• Andy on his BSA

• Ian on his Sunbeam

• Paul on his AJS

All three crossed the finish line — no small achievement when you’re guiding century‑old machinery across the countryside. A fantastic effort and a really enjoyable day for everyone involved.
