Sunday Ride Report – 26th April 2026

Another glorious forecast and another small but eager group keen to make the most of it. This time the plan was simple: head west and enjoy the sunshine.

We made good progress along the major A‑roads, keeping a steady pace all the way to New Alresford, where we stopped for a well‑earned breakfast (or brunch, depending on your view) at the Swan Hotel. It’s a cracking spot on a sunny morning—plenty of space in the rear garden, a clear view of the bikes and friendly staff who kept the caffeine flowing while we put the world to rights.

Back on the bikes, we discovered a closed road on the way out of town, which forced a more scenic, circuitous loop through Four Marks before dropping onto the A32 and rolling down to Loomies Café. From there it was the familiar run along the A272 toward Petersfield, then up through Midhurst to Haslemere, across to Godalming, skirting south of Guildford and finally heading home.

A relaxed ride, good company and sunshine from start to finish - exactly what a Sunday outing should be.
