Founders Day Run 2026

Saturday 2 May saw our annual “Fish & Chip Run” to Littlehampton — a firm favourite on the club calendar. Nine riders set off from Dorking, picking up a tenth along the way as we wound our way south.
Barry treated us to one of his trademark scenic routes, threading through the back lanes of Surrey and Sussex. For anyone wanting to relive it, the GPX file is available in the club archives.
We stopped at the Riverside Tea Rooms in Amberley for refreshments — and for a few members who needed to head back early, a well‑earned breakfast. The rest of us carried on to Littlehampton, where fish and chips on Pier Road hit the spot perfectly. Those chasing the full seaside experience even rounded things off with an ice cream.
Once suitably fed and watered, we followed the coast to Angmering before joining the A24 for a steady ride back to Dorking. A great day out, good company and another Founders Day Run without anyone accidentally ending up in Bognor.
