Dorking to Dorset

The day after the night before which saw the first named storm of the year we set out on the annual D2D following the tradition of using minor and back roads for as much of the route as is feasible possible.

The roads where pretty treacherous with mud, fallen debris and a general poor state of condition that it made riding conditions rather interesting on the day.

As usual it was a circuitous route taking in a refreshment stop at Lasham Airfield (now with new look café) before venturing across the New Forest into Dorset and for more hearty refreshments at the Churchill Arms, Alderholt. Then back to Dorking this time trying to avoid motorways and dual carriageways and back to Dorking for a well earned rest after 200 miles.
