DDMCC & TOMCC Visit Moore Place

For the third year in a row, riders from Dorking & District MCC and the Triumph Owners MCC rolled into Moore Place Care Home in Esher — and once again, it was an afternoon to remember.

The residents and staff gave us a wonderfully warm welcome, complete with plenty of refreshments to keep spirits high. The real highlight, though, was the chance for everyone to get up close with the motorcycles. Some residents admired the bikes from a distance, while others couldn’t resist climbing aboard, gripping the handlebars and even giving the engines a rev or two. The smiles said it all.

What made the day truly special were the stories shared. Residents regaled us with memories of motorcycles from their own lives — tales of family, friends and even their own riding days. It was a joy to hear how bikes had touched so many lives across generations.

Events like this remind us why we ride together: not just for the open road, but for the connections we make along the way. A huge thank‑you to Moore Place for hosting us again and to everyone who came along to make the afternoon so enjoyable. Here’s to keeping this tradition alive for many years to come
